Recordings
The Aulos LPs were posthumously produced in 1983/84 in a limited release of 1000 records. They are, like most LPs, no longer commercially available, but Fredrik Pachla has an extremely limited number.
Radio recordings: Archived DAT recordings of Wolfgang Pachla.
The following listed recordings, copies and private recordings from the private archive can be individually copied as long as there are no copyright issues involved. Only the material costs and postage will be charged.
The request for original recordings to radio stations after Wolfgang Pachla's death was only successful in Stockholm. The rest of the recordings are private takes in reasonably good quality. It is a great shame that recordings, which were certainly made by the Helsinki radio of the following superbly played pieces, were not found. Zigeunerweisen from Sarasate and Rumänisch from Knümann.
These pieces were transcriptions which Wolfgang Pachla had performed in Varietés, along with solistic virtuosic popular and dance music from the 50's and 60's, and dance music (often Latin American) with Marimba or Vibraphone solo.
